We have had 20 sea turtle intakes just in the month of April. These sea turtle patients come in due to various issues including the fibropapilloma virus, boat strikes, plastic ingestion, etc. Clearwater Marine Aquarium is in need of many items including medical equipment, special diets and medications in order to care for these rehab patients.

Current green sea turtle patient, Apple Jacks suffered a boat strike and also has the fibropapilloma virus.
Green sea turtle, Chex, passed this entire balloon and string after ingesting it in the wild! This is a lesson for all of us to not release balloons and be sure to properly dispose of them.
