We’re open! Clearwater Marine Aquarium is excited to welcome you to enjoy the world of marine life rescue with improved safety measures!
Visiting CMA is a whole new experience now with five times the guest space and the brand-new 1.5-million-gallon Ruth & J.O. Stone Dolphin Complex. Explore the home of Winter the Dolphin and our other rescued dolphins from spectacular underwater windows or soak in the vista from above on the spacious Dolphin Terrace.
How We’re Keeping Everyone Safe
CMA has implemented significant safety precautions to protect staff, animals, and guests while ensuring a fun and educational visit.
Among the many safety measures, Clearwater Marine Aquarium has the following:
- Touchless transactions
- Signs and floor decals to promote social distancing
- Increased number of hand sanitizing stations available to guests throughout our facility.
- Advanced reservations where guests may select an arrival date and time
- Barriers at transaction areas
Following current CDC guidelines, guests and CMA personnel who have had their vaccines will not be required to wear a face covering either inside or outside – except when participating in animal interactions or direct animal contact. Everyone is asked to wear a face covering in these cases to protect our animals. It is requested that non-vaccinated guests continue to wear face coverings onsite. Face coverings are defined as a mask, buff or face shield.
Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit. The CDC recommends that people get fully vaccinated. Per the CDC, vaccines are safe and highly effective at protecting people from severe COVID-19. Getting fully vaccinated yourself may also protect people around you. The CDC still recommends prevention measures for unvaccinated people. For more information see www.cdc.gov.
