INVASIVE SPECIES
Conservation Efforts:
Rose hair tarantulas are at risk because of the pet trade. Due to their very calm and docile nature, they are one of the most common tarantula species in the pet trade. However, the over-collection of wild specimens can substantially affect their populations.
How You Can Help:
When choosing a new pet, make informed choices based on what you can care for and where these animals come from. You can help rose hair tarantulas by leaving them in the wild rather than having them as pets.
