INVASIVE SPECIES
Conservation Efforts:
While currently listed as “Not Evaluated” by the IUCN, Asian forest scorpions are still at risk because of the illegal pet trade. Due to their relatively docile nature, this species is the most common scorpion kept as a pet. However, the over-collection of wild specimens can substantially affect their populations.
How You Can Help:
When choosing a new pet, make informed choices based on what you can care for and where these animals come from. You can help Asian forest scorpions by leaving them in the wild rather than having them as pets.
