We had 113 participants! The final weight collected was 865.2 pounds of trash! A lot of monofilament and cigarette butts were collected. The biggest item collected was a full chair tangled in the mangrove roots. \n\n\n \n\nWinter’s Spooky Trash Stash – Coastal Cleanup\n\nLOCATION: Memorial Causeway\nPARKING: 127 Island Way\, Clearwater\, Fl\n*Parking will not be available in Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s garage\nCHECK-IN TENT: Corner of the Memorial Causeway & Island Way\nCheck-in starts at 8:30 a.m. \nDON’T FORGET TO BRING: \n\nRefillable water bottle\nSunblock\nHat/Sunglasses\nClosed-toed shoes\nInsect repellent\nContainer to collect trash\n\nHelp us “Go Green” by reducing the use of single-use plastic trash bags.\nBring your own trash collection container\n(5-gallon bucket\, plastic cat litter container\, or large basket). \n\nRefreshments\nWater Filling Station\nPrizes\nClean-up Supplies will be provided\n\nFOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT:\nChelsea Carter ccarter@cmaquarium.org \n(1) free CMA general admission ticket for cleanup participants.
