DESCRIPTION:Looking for a fun and educational experience for your homeschooling family? Join us for Homeschool Hangouts\, where learning comes to life! On select dates throughout the school year\, homeschool students and their families can choose from engaging classroom programs\, exciting boat excursions\, or combine both for a full day of marine discovery. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Homeschool Programs\n\n\n\nEach Homeschool Hangout date offers slightly different program options\, featuring an eco-boat tour or snorkel adventure\, a marine biology classroom program\, or a combination of both with admission included. \n\n\n\nThe following program options are available on September 17\, 2026. Additional Homeschool programs are available on other select dates. Program details\, prices and schedules may vary by date and are subject to change. \n\n\n\nSeptember 17 — 1hr Eco-venture boat tour and “Marine Biology 101” classroom program \n\n\n\n\nEco Ed-ventures Boat Tour (60 minutes) \n\n\n\nEmbark on an unforgettable voyage of marine discovery aboard a Clearwater Marine Aquarium boat! Our immersive marine science curriculum invites students to explore the wonders of the ocean. Explore Clearwater Bay as we look at the estuary environment and make observations about the animals that call an estuary home. Led by a marine biologist\, students will learn about marine ecosystems and how to protect them\, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for the precious underwater world. \n\n\n\nAvailable at 10:30 a.m.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMarine Biology 101 Classroom Program (60 minutes) \n\n\n\nLearn marine biology 101 as you climb the phylogenetic tree and get an introduction to some of the animals that call Clearwater Marine Aquarium home. Discuss animal adaptations and strategies necessary for survival in different habitats. Examine the life cycles\, environment\, and feeding methodologies of various marine animals using touch to explore biofacts and live touch tank invertebrates. \n\n\n\nAvailable at 12:30 p.m. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDon’t miss this chance to blend learning and fun in one exciting day! We look forward to welcoming your family to Clearwater Marine Aquarium\, where education and adventure go hand in hand. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nProgram Combo Options: \n\n\n\n\nHomeschool Option 1 – Eco Ed-venture + Admission \n\n\n\n$35 per person \n\n\n\n\nBOOK NOW\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHomeschool Option 2 – Classroom Program + Admission  \n\n\n\n$20 per person: \n\n\n\n\nBOOK NOW\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHomeschool Option 3 – Eco Ed-venture + Classroom Program + Admission   \n\n\n\n$45 per person: \n\n\n\n\nBOOK NOW\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease Note:  \n\n\n\nRegistration and payment are required to participate in event as space is limited. Deadline to register is 24 hours prior to your selected visit date. Each attending child must be accompanied by at least one paid adult throughout the entire program and while on Clearwater Marine Aquarium property. One adult can supervise multiple children\, including siblings\, or friends.You may check in anytime between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. Since programs begin promptly at their scheduled times\, we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your program starts.Please enter through the 3rd floor main entrance. After proceeding through security\, check in with a ticketing member. A Marine Academy Biologist will meet you on the 1st floor by the “Programs Meeting Spot” sign at least 15 minutes before the program starts to escort you to your boat or classroom.Parking is not included in your ticket price. Seasonal rate applies for parking in the CMA garage. Credit card only.Please check your printed tickets for your specific program selections and times. Programs will begin promptly at the scheduled times. Unfortunately\, we can’t accommodate late arrivals.Guest Services\, Shark Bites Café (credit card purchases only)\, the Gift Shop\, and the main exit can all be found on the 3rd level of the Visitor’s Center.Self-guided general admission is included.The boat tour will depart at the time listed on your ticket. Please arrive at the “Programs Meeting Spot” on the first floor at least 15 minutes prior to avoid missing the tour.The boat tour will run rain or shine. However\, if severe weather arises\, such as heavy rain\, fog that limits the Captain’s visibility\, or lightning in the area\, the trip may be cancelled or return early.No refunds will be issued.
